What Volunteers Do:

  • Support Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response
  • Participate in the Health Service Agency and County Incident Command System
  • Participate in trainings, local and regional responses
  • Staff mass vaccination clinics and mass care and sheltering
  • Triage and surge capacity planning, response, recovery and mitigation
  • Support Communicable Disease outbreak investigations and contact tracing

MRC Leaders Nancy Yellin, RN and Roland Sharp, MD visit medically fragile elders to dispense COVID-19 vaccine. They are members of the MRC Vaccine Strike Team (VST).

Mission Statement

Establish a volunteer network of local medical and public health professionals to:

  • Integrate into established community emergency systems for assistance during emergencies
  • Provide mutual aide to other communities when called upon
  • Offer consultation and education to the community
