Now is the time to catch up on recommended immunizations that you may have missed as a teen. It’s important for young adults to get vaccines that protect against diseases like the flu, COVID-19 and whooping cough. You also need to be up to date on meningococcal and HPV vaccines.

Insurance
  • If you don’t have insurance, you may be eligible for Medi-Cal, a public health insurance program which provides health care services to low-income individuals, regardless of age or immigration status.

    Full Medi-Cal coverage includes things like medicine, primary care, mental health care, maternity care, dental care, alcohol and drug treatment, eyeglasses, footcare, transportation to the doctor, and more.

  • Photo ID : for 18 years and older
  • Any form of insurance card and/or Social Security Number (SSN)
  • Any records of vaccinations from US or other countries
  • Any school requests, medical training program requests, or documentation needed for ‘required immunizations’

Parents with children: All items listed above (Parent ID, vaccine records, and school paperwork for required vaccinations)

Exceptions will be handled by Health Center Manager (i.e. Unaccompanied Minor)

Tuberculosis Testing:

  • Offered Mon., Tues., Wed., and Fri. between 1:30 PM - 4 PM (No TB Testing on Thursdays.)
  • No appointment needed but we request you call ahead of time to confirm immunization nurse is available.
  • Patients need to return to the clinic 48 hours after the TB test to have the test read.

For travel vaccinations: consult your PCP clinician. If you are a patient with the county clinics, please book an appointment to discuss travel vaccination requirements with a clinician.

HPHP provides a number of services to people experiencing homelessness and low-income populations of Santa Cruz County:  

COVID-19 Vaccine by appointment or drop-in, Flu Vaccine (in season), Pneumonia Vaccine (by appointment)

HPHP also offers Primary Care appointments, Integrated Behavioral Health (therapy and psychiatry), Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), acupuncture, wound care, and benefits advocacy.
